Barrier-free access to the museum

We want to ensure all visitors have the most pleasant and independent museum experience possible. If you have any questions about accessibility or require assistance before your visit, please feel free to contact us in advance. Our museum is fully accessible and allows visitors with mobility impairments to enjoy a visit as easily as possible.

Arrival & Access

• The staff are friendly, attentive, and helpful.

• Disabled parking spaces are available in the immediate vicinity (Kaisergarten parking lot).

• Access to the entrance is via a sloping ramp covered with cobblestones.

• The entire main building is accessible via a wheelchair-accessible elevator.

 

Accessible facilities

• All three floors and the basement are accessible via a glass elevator (W:90 cm) without acoustic floor announcements.

• Low coat hooks, similarly low lockers and a loaner wheelchair are available.

• An accessible toilet is located in the basement of the main building.

• The Little Castle is accessible at ground level. All rooms there are wheelchair accessible.

• The coin slot for the hot drinks machine in the reading café at the Little Castle is mounted high up. Our staff will be happy to assist you if needed.
