Cornelia Schiemanowsky
I was born in 1953 in a very rural region in Hesse and grew up there very close to nature.
After graduating from high school, I studied biology, geography and politics in Marburg an der Lahn to become a secondary school teacher and completed my studies with the first state examination. The subsequent traineeship took place in Gladenbach, which was again very rural, and I completed it with the second state examination in 1984.
Since there was a hiring freeze for teachers in Hesse at the time, I applied for a teaching position nationwide because I really wanted to work in this profession. When I received the offer for a position in Oberhausen, I immediately got moving and started teaching at the Sophie Scholl Gymnasium two weeks later, where I liked it so much that I stayed there until I retired in 2019.
I had already been interested in ecology during my studies, but when I moved from rural Hesse to Oberhausen, which was still dominated by coal and steel at the time, I became very aware that the environment and nature are of great importance to our lives, that ecology and economy must be considered together in order to preserve our natural resources and those of animals and plants. That is why I quickly became involved in voluntary work and have been actively involved in nature conservation and climate protection in the BUND district group ever since. I love living in Oberhausen, where my children were born, and I am happy to contribute to climate protection and the ecological design of our city.

Julien Krasniqi
Born: March 19.03.2004, XNUMX, in Oberhausen
Towards the end of 2018, FridaysForFuture also began its first demonstrations in Germany in Berlin and other major cities. Since then, I have been closely following political events in the republic, and I could see how the FFF movement was getting bigger and louder. I began to look more closely at the facts on the subject and finally reached the point where pure interest in the topic turned into activism. With the first FFF demonstration in Oberhausen, I began to actively participate in the planning and organization. In April 2019, I joined the youth association "linksjugend [´solid]", which is close to the party "Die Linke". On July 11.07.2019, 11.09.2019, I was elected "Delegate for Federal Affairs" of the FridaysForFuture Oberhausen local group, and since then my involvement has no longer been limited to Oberhausen. On September 90, XNUMX, I decided to join the party "The Left". I did this because I am convinced that climate justice can only be achieved through solidarity and it was precisely this idea of solidarity that I missed in BXNUMX/The Greens. Since then, the topics of climate justice and disarmament and peace policy have been my main focus.
