A historical exhibition of the city archives in the LUDWIGGALERIE? – Can that go well?

But how did it come about that the Oberhausen City Archives
presentation for the Panorama Gallery? The show is the
Completion of a project financed by the Landschaftsverband Rheinland (LVR)
Funding project for the development of archival material on the structural change of
City of Oberhausen. Over 3000 archives are being archived as part of this two-year project
have been examined and recorded in the archive. This material and other
Historically interesting pieces form the core of the exhibition. It presents
i.e. the results of the funding project to the public.

To illustrate the difficult topic of structural change
In order to convey the impression of the past, the exhibition is divided into five eras, which
history of the city from its founding until 2006.
The main focus is on two eras that we call Structural Change 1.0 (1894–1934)
and structural change 2.0 (1988–2006). Both eras bear witness to
Changes that have a significant and lasting impact on the cityscape today.
Three other eras also testify to the change, but also to the

The themes of the exhibition are presented in a three-hour

Our exhibition includes a varied programme of events

and 2.0 and also a panel discussion planned in the TZU, with exciting personalities
such as former mayor Burkhard Drescher and Chamber of Commerce President
