The LUDWIGGALERIE Schloss Oberhausen, in cooperation with the Elsa-Brändström-Gymnasium, is once again offering the project Students lead students Primary school classes, as well as pupils up to secondary level I, can attend the exhibition. GERMAN POP ART – Between Provocation and Mainstream. The Heinz Beck Collection on display at the LUDWIGGALERIE Talking about art with peers.
The ninth-grade students at the Elsa-Brändström-Gymnasium, who have been trained as art educators, engage intensively with the exhibited artworks throughout the project. Image descriptions, analyses of the works, and various techniques are just as much a focus as developing suitable methods for presenting the artworks. The students' personal perspectives significantly shape the discussions about the artworks. At the same time, the participating children's and teenagers' understanding of art is fostered individually and sustainably.
